Winston Scholarships

Two NSAL scholarships are offered annually for students ages 16-22:  the Naomi Rabb Winston Scholarship in Art and the Shirley Rabb Winston Scholarship in Classical Voice. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional talent and promise of future success.  Both scholarships must be used for private study, special training, or personal advancement in the applicant’s art medium or vocal career; this may include workshops, voice teachers, summer programs, etc., but may not include college tuition, housing, or travel. As many as eight to ten scholarships are awarded in varying amounts, up to a maximum amount of $5,000.

The Saint Louis Chapter may select up to two Chapter Winners for each Winston Scholarship.  Each winner will receive an award of $250 and will be eligible to compete for the national scholarship. The next Chapter deadlines will be February 1, 2017.  The Winston Chair for Art is Adelia Parker-Castro, adeliaparker@sbcglobal.net, and the Winston Co-Chairs for Voice are Carol Carlson, carol@carlsonstl.net, and Connie Lippert, conlip@sbcglobal.net.
